At Gervais Custom Millwork & Cabinetry Ltd., we believe trust matters. When you invite us into your home, ask us for a quote, enter one of our giveaways, or simply reach out with a question, you may share some personal information with us. We want to be clear about what we collect and what we do with it.

Information we may collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect information such as your name, phone number, email address, home address, details about your project, photos or measurements of your space, and other information you choose to provide.

We only ask for information we reasonably need to communicate with you, prepare estimates, plan or complete your project, provide service after installation, or respond to your questions.

If you enter a contest, giveaway or promotion, we may also collect the contact information needed to administer the promotion and contact the winner.

How we use your information

Your information is used for the reason you gave it to us. This may include responding to an inquiry, discussing your project, preparing a quote, scheduling appointments or installations, communicating throughout your project, or following up after the work is complete.

If you have specifically agreed to hear from us about future projects, services or promotions, we may also contact you for those purposes. You can ask us to stop at any time.

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

We may need to share limited information with trusted suppliers, tradespeople or service providers when it is reasonably necessary to complete your project or operate our business. We only share what is needed for that purpose.

Project photos and social media

We’re proud of the work we build and occasionally share completed projects on our website or social media. We will be thoughtful about what is shown and will not intentionally publish personal information about you or your family without permission.

Some of our project photos may be edited using AI to improve staging or presentation when the original photo was taken during installation or before the homeowner had a chance to finish the space. We do not use AI to change or enhance the cabinetry or millwork we built. Original, unedited project photos are kept available, and many can be viewed in our Facebook album.

If you ever have a concern about a photo of your home being used, please reach out to us.

Protecting your information

We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information entrusted to us and limit access to people who need it for legitimate business purposes. We keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for our business, warranty, accounting, legal, or other legitimate requirements.

No method of electronic communication or storage is completely risk-free, so we also encourage clients not to send highly sensitive personal or financial information through Facebook Messenger or other social media unless we've specifically arranged an appropriate way to provide it.

Facebook and other platforms

When you interact with us through Facebook, Instagram or another third-party platform, that platform may collect information independently of Gervais Custom Millwork & Cabinetry. Their collection and use of your information is governed by their own privacy policies and settings.

Your information belongs to you

You are welcome to ask what personal information we have about you, request a correction, withdraw consent where applicable, or ask us questions about how your information has been handled. Certain information may need to be retained for legal, contractual, or legitimate business purposes.
